NGC 7006 - Globular Cluster - Class I

NGC 7006 or Caldwell 42 is a Class I Globular Cluster.   It resides in the outer edge of the Milky Way, about 5x the distance between the Sun and the center of the galaxy. It was discovered by British Astronomer William Herschel in 1784.  NGC 7006 is located in the constellation Delphinus at 21h 01m 29.4s RA, +16o 11m 14.4s DEC.  It is 134,300 Light Years from Earth, and has a visual magnitude of 10.6. The best time to observe NGC 7006 is in the Summer.
