NGC 5466 - Globular Cluster - Class XII

NGC 5466 is a Class XII Globular Cluster.   It has an estimated age of 13.6 billion years.It was discovered by British Astronomer William Herschel in 1784.  NGC 5466 is located in the constellation Bootes at 14h 05m 27.4s RA, +28o 32m 04.2s DEC.  It is 51,900 Light Years from Earth, and has a visual magnitude of 9.2. The best time to observe NGC 5466 is in the Spring.
