M94 - Spiral Galaxy

M94 or NGC 4736 is a Sprial Galaxy with "bar" structure. It was discovered by French Astronomer Pierre Mechain in 1781.   M94 is located in the constellation Canes Venatici at 12h 50m 53.1s RA, +41o 07m 14s DEC.  It is 17.0 Million Light Years from Earth, and has a visual magnitude of 8.2. The best time to observe M94 is in the early Spring.
