M32 - Galaxy

M32 is an Elliptical Dwarf Galaxy that is a satellite of the M31 Galaxy.  It was discovered by French Astronomer Guillaume Le Gentil in 1749.  M32 is 660 light-years in diameter. It is located right next to M31, The Andromeda Galaxy and in the constellation Andromeda at 00h 42m 41.8s RA, +40o 51m 55s DEC.  It is 2.49 million Light Years from Earth, and has a visual magnitude of 8.1. The best time to observe M32 is in the Winter.
