M15 - Globular Cluster - Class IV

M15 - The Class IV Globular Cluster was discovered by French Astronomer Jean-Dominique Maraldi in 1746.  It is one of the denest ever discovered and has undergone core collapse.  It is 176 light-years in diameter and contains over 100,000 stars.   M15 is located in the constellation Pegasus at 21h 29m 58.3s RA, +12o 10m 01.2 DEC and is 18' arc minutes. It is 35,700 Light Years from Earth, and has a visual magnitude of 6.3. The best time to observe M15 is late Fall.
