M2 - Globular Cluster - Class II

M2 - Is a Class II Globular Cluster that was discovered by Italian Astronomer Jean-Dominique Maraldi in 1746.  It is one of the largest know globular clusters at 150 light-years in diameter and contains over 150,000 stars.   M2 is located in the constellation Aquarius at 21h 33m 27.0s RA, -00o 49m 23.7s DEC and is 16' arc minutes. It is 37,000 Light Years from Earth, and has a visual magnitude of 6.6.
